Just an insurable value is what I was thinking about. Just want to make sure I understand valuation if needed. For homeowners policy.

You will get the value stated above in the thread. Just remember most HO policies differentiate between a theft loss and other. in a theft loss you will have a limit. A lot of policies are around $2-3k total. Anything over that limit will first get applied to deductible, then the rest is lost to the limit.

If you were to itemize it and schedule the gun separately, you could value up to $2-4k for the gun alone, but you pay for the value. so higher the schedule, the higher the rate. With this type of insurance, you are covered under pretty much any loss though, with no deductible.
