Idk bro. I’ve been there and, being a youth worker, I’ve seen plenty of kids graduate high school and end up at their “dream school” just to transfer after a semester or two because of depression or general discontentment with their situation. These types never pan out anywhere until they either receive counseling or temper their expectations. Just because we don’t see this happen often at the highest level of D1 athletics doesn’t mean it isn’t a legitimate issue a large minority of young adults will face. “Problem child” rhetoric isn’t helpful in this context.
