...they had better have one for practice...that cool crisp Smoky Mtn air won't cut it...they will be sucking wind big time by mid way in the 2nd QTR down in Red Stick...and we will pull away big time thereafter

Nothing worse than breathing in hot, humid air when you aren't used to it. Cramping should be an issue too.

it hasnt been that hot lately IMO
Posted on 8/27/08 at 9:20 pm to DollaChoppa
Thats because your use to it !
Posted on 8/27/08 at 9:20 pm to DollaChoppa
i would say it was hotter than donkey balls today..

Not lately but it's getting hotter every day.

This is not really about heat or anything...but you do have to remember that we are higher up, so the air is thinner. It's hard to breathe up here too. Not making excuses or anything...just sayin...

walkin back from class at 1:30 it wasnt that bad at least. i mean it wasnt insufferable like it sometimes is. i still dont understand people who wear jeans in the summer tho.

That is why we call it Death VALLEY...It is the opposite of a mountain.
Hot
Humid
Thicker air
Big difference

Hot, humid air is much different than cool, thin air. Going from cool, dry air to hot humid air has other side effects besides difficulty breathing.

Did you have your uni on with shoulder pads and all ? just teasing, but you get the difference.

Not saying that it isn't hard to breathe down there...just saying it is also hard to breathe up here...I know there is a difference, but it's still hard. My mom has a hard time coming up here and walking great distances because of her asthma and the thin air.

Again, it's a totally different feeling. Not to mention that heat and humidity causes cramping.

so overrated. It didn't hurt Oregon State. Besides, the weather has chased LSU into the very comfortable indoor facility quite a bit this camp.

Oregon State was at night, on a cooler day and in THE RAIN. I sometimes wonder how many people on this board have actually attended games or have just become LSU fans recently.

Saw on weather.com that it is supposed to be around 94 for the high on game day...with about 70% humidity...
Doesn't seem terrible to me...it's like that where I'm from during the summer as well...

Glad you feel that way. Add about 10 degrees to that for field temp and add a bunch more for humidity. Should be around a 115 heat index on the field at game time. I can say, without a doubt, that Tiger Stadium is one of the hottest places you will every visit for an August afternoon game. You seriously have no idea.

I was there. Are you really saying that the rain doesn't effect humidity levels? It's just not that big of a deal. When's the last time you heard a coach say, "We lost the game because the humidity beat us"?
