I’m 37 and should know this but I don’t. And it may be a stupid question so I apologize. But.... with all this winter weather below freezing continuous days of bullshiz, as many of you know who are experiencing similar, there have been rolling blackouts. I live in the Oklahoma City metro. They are telling citizens to not use appliances, not use washer and dryer, not use dishwasher, turn off lights that are not needed, etc.

Meanwhile, the City of Oklahoma City and the National Basketball Association said to go on with the Blazers/Thunder game last night in OKC. The City of OKC said they would limit the electric use. Their idea of limited use is still way more than what many residences use as a whole.

Chesapeake Energy Arena is located in downtown OKC. Residents in surrounding cities: Yukon, Mustang, Bethany, Moore, Norman, Edmond, etc. are beyond furious.

So, is it feasible for surrounding community officials and citizens to sue a bigger city and the NBA? Is it worth the time? Would it have a chance?

Just curious.

It's just like a mayonaise white bread MF to cry about sitting in their safe privileged home while oppressed men of color go out to battle against institutional racism and systemic injustice for mere millions of dollars.

You need an awakening brother.

Let me guess you probably also taught your children racist math too!

How I describe Oklahoma:

Ice storms in the winter and tornadoes the rest of the year. Nature is constantly trying to kill you.

Sue them for what?

Generally to sue the government there must be a Constitutional breach or a statutory right given by the State via legislation. Not sure what the NBA did to you?

I'm not sure what the injury is.

Suggestion, think about generating your own electricity... electricity isn't a statutory right (most likely) or a Constitutional Right.

If you want to change how regulation of electricity (public right) distribution than you could in theory get with other citizens to force change.

He not only taught them math, he stressed getting the right answer.

One of the prime identifiers of racist math is the stress on an individual to produce a correct answer instead of the effort of a group to "try hard"

Ice storms and two blizzards in one season is rare.

Last year we had more pandemics than tornado deaths.

But yes in general, Mother Nature is orgasmic when she wreaks havoc on Oklahoma.

We are also known for crapping the bed against the SEC in football games that matter.

Anyways, I had a feeling this thread would backfire.

Not even do you have ice storms, but things stay open when they happen. In my two years there I still had to come into the OUHSC to work when there was ice. That is unheard of in the South.
