I don't think learning about slavery, Jim Crow, etc. is the worst thing considering how recent it was... but you basically spend a two weeks on it every year from 2nd grade - senior year in public schools. it's a bit much.

Yep, slavery and the cause/effect of in the colonies and US are already a huge part of the regular curriculum. Black History Month is just pandering. If you’re not teaching black history in the process of teaching American History, then you’re not teaching history.

Best thing Trump ever did was not say that he "likes his immigrant's not being enslaved" after the McCain "captured prisoner" snafu.
