UFC 258 Usman/Burns and 259(three titles on the line)

First things first-our boy Poirier from Lafayette beat the king of the UFC(their moneymaker). The evolution of Poirier is incredible. He should have the strap on him IMO as the champ, then settle the rest of the lightweight division. That match was for McGregor to be the champ again and Dustin said Nope. A whole different fighter. Full of confidence. Not rattled in the least in the lead up nor in the fight. Had the perfect game plan and won bc of it. The narrative is that McGregor lost when it should be Poirier is the new king of the lightweight division.
It may be overlooked bc 259 is loaded with the 135 belt, 205 belt(Adesanya moving up) and Nunes w/ 135 women’s division(I don’t think she’ll ever lose in the UFC unless judges/scoring is atrocious). The other two fights are Kenney/Cruz and Heinisch/Gastelum.
Now to 258 which may be overlooked by UFC fans. Burns/Usman is THE fight in the division. Looking forward to this fight. Maycee Barber faces Grasso. I think Barber is on a mission. She was in LFA and said from the start she wanted to be the youngest to hold a belt(Jon Jones’ record). An injury during the Modaferie fight halted her momentum. Gastelum fights Heinisch the Hurricane. This guy has done time in Rikers. Good story of picking yourself up after messing up. Jim Miller is on the card. Munhoz facing Rivera who is moving down. It’ll be a great card. I’ve got Barber for my win of that night.
ETA: fixed

quote:pump the brakes. Masvidal Covington I think is the biggest fight in the division. Although WW is stacked and has a lot of great fighters.
Burns/Usman is THE fight in the division.
Btw great interview with Colby here to understand the mindset of a top level fighter

Me and the ole lady got valentines dinner the night of Usman/Burns. Told her she could pick anywhere she wants if we can hit the bar for the fights after. We got a deal

You'd think we'd have a UFC Board on here by now huh?
