Higlights- Every Drew Brees touchdown this season

I'll get a billion down votes, but if a healthy Drew Brees wanted to give it another go next year, I'm fine with that.
We did sweep the division and beat Tom Brady 2 of 3. Saints were one sack that caused 11 broken ribs away from possibly a different story.
We will miss him when he is gone.
Every touchdown - and yes some were longer than 20 yards

I’d love him to come back if his injuries were why he couldn’t throw the ball

I'd personally love to see him play again but there's no way he puts his body through that again next year.

Is it just because Brady is 5 inches taller that he doesn’t take nearly as much punishment as wee Drew?

I think it has to do with Tom Brady glorious glutes and abs.
I kid, but its a good point. I guess a bigger guy could take more punishment and not have the same injuries.
Of course, I think most of us know the hit that knocked out Drew Brees would never be allowed on Brady (im kidding again)
I'm not arguing that Brees has a rocket arm at his age, but I do think he has enough of an arm to dink and dunk and stretch a defense a little when 100% healthy. We saw that this year with the wins he produced.
Does anybody know if the torn rotater cuff his wife talked about was his throwing shoulder or the other one?

Just watched the video, love 'ya Drew, but your arm is shot. Every one of those throws was a poofer.

I know you are throwing shade, but I will do my best to answer.
Drew has a long history of major injuries, one of which he was young enough to overcome and the Saints were the beneficiaries. But he's had 3 significant injuries in 2 years and given his age it's just highly unlikely he comes back and plays at the same level as he played up to the middle of the season (game versus the Buccs was probably his best game).
You have to believe that the FO is realistic in understanding that the chips were pushed to the middle of the table the last two years and we had a losing hand both times. A full season to figure out what you have with Jameis next year outweighs the benefit of bringing Drew back to maybe another playoff appearance which would probably be a first round loss. In all honesty all you are doing is robbing a promising candidate of valuable playtime in our system.
Worst case Jameis throws more picks than TDs and we get a better draft pick, but then you know what you have and you don't need to waste time building a team around him.

The velocity on anything over 15 yds in the air was pretty weak. It was obvious watching the last two games that the guy has had it. Body language and all.

I’m still sick to my stomach that we played with our heads up our asses (Jared Cook’s being so far up there he could roll around like a wagon wheel) against a team we so clearly outclassed.
38-3... they literally could not drive the ball against us so we handed them short fields.
Its a “no shite” statement that if our turnovers were scores we win. But it’s not every game where if we had just been able to punt three times instead of the first two picks and fumble I’m confident we eat the W.

He needs to just hire Brady's dietician. That's apparently the key.
