Right now, if the NCAAT started today it is likely this group wouldn't be in it
Flat out wrong. Joe Lunardi had us as a 10 seed on Friday and Jerry Palm had us as an 11. Losing a close game to the #10 team won't change that.

I was one of Wades biggest fans, but right now its hard not to criticize him and this team at the moment. Saturdays loss is just inexcusable. And this team has looked less than prepared the last 4 games, 3 of which have been losses. right now this team is soft physically and weak mentally. The loss Saturday may be as tough to get over as the 30 point loss. And with Bama on Wednesday the schedule doesnt get any easier At the moment, i dont see this team in the NCAA.

LSU's NET rating right now is 39. They are 1-5 in Q1 games with that one win (vs. Ole Miss) BARELY remaining a Q1 win (Ole Miss is #75 in NET, which is the cutoff for a Q1 road win). LSU hasn't beaten a single team that is a likely NCAAT team (unless you think Arkansas is a NCAAT team -- I don't) and they currently have a losing record on the road.

The selection committee says over, and over, and over again that they are looking for teams who can beat other NCAAT teams AND can win games away from home (That's why NET places such value on those metrics). Right now LSU simply hasn't been one of those teams. Now, that's not to say they can't fix those issues. Particularly considering 3 of the next 4 (maybe all 4) a HUGE NCAAT opportunities. But right now, if I'm betting, I think LSU is one the outside looking in or, at best, one of the last 4 teams in.

The TTU loss was crushing for NCAAT purposes. Not because it is a "bad" loss. But because it was a BIG missed opportunity. With that loss in the rearview I don't think it is hyperbolic to say LSU's NCAAT fate will largely be determined in these next two weeks. If they go O'fer vs. Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, you can close the book on them. There won't be any "big win" opportunities left.
