Andre Carter
$200K yr 1
$450K yr 2

Blake Baker
$500K yr 1
$550K yr 2

Smart pay. That bump in year 2 potentially helps keep the coaches here longer with that raise. Although, if they coach out of their minds, nothing is stopping them.

Why all of the 2 yr deals? It just seems kind of strange to me.

I hope this becomes the norm. Make the coaches prove it first.

It’s refreshing to see coach O making solid hires and Woodward making LSU friendly financial deals.
Last go round it went the opposite way lol.

Funny LSU finally getting smart on giving contracts. IF only they would have had common sense on Bo Pelini's contract

If im not mistaken.. Jones, Baker, Carter combined salaries in year 1 is less than Bo Pelinis SINGLE salary in year 1.. the entire D staff is cheaper this year than Bo.. you love to see it

I wonder what made these guys both take pay cuts. Did they want to be at LSU that bad? Or were they being shown the door at their other jobs?

If this is the case has to be incentive laced like crazy with a couple easy to meet metrics based on individual group and team performance. Would think an NFL DL coach makes more than 200k. Course 200k in BR vs 400k in NY goes a hell of a lot further.

completely agree. It's sick that coaches, like CEOs, get big fat contracts and will get the full payout even if they completely fail (like Pelini).

It makes me nauseous to think that Pelini made $6.5 million for one year of utterly horrific defense.

It's sick.

Beautiful contracts for LSU. Cause if this shite don’t work out(a 7-5 season)O is gone and so are they.

COVID has really thrown a monkey wrench into revenue predictions. Every college and NFL team will be affected by the budget crunch. These new salaries are reflecting those unknowns. The NFL salary cap will show those changes too and there will be a lot of high priced players out of work.

Orgeron, Pelini, & Raymond were the only coaches this past year who didn't have 2 year deals, FWiW
