Dude has two bad games and ppl act like he didn’t bring us from being historically bad lmao. I remember a week ago when someone made a thread asking many years it would take for him to be the best basketball coach in LSU history. Now the board wants him fired. We’re not gonna win a natty in all three sports every year.

Wade has Final Four expectations to live up to. Anything less is substandard.
As of this moment Wade's not getting it done. This is not a NCAA team surviving beyond the first round.

He has us competing and he’s building something. We’re not gonna get a better coach. And who set those final 4 expectations. Sorry bud we’re not there yet. I don’t think any coach could come here and turn LSU into a final 4 team in 4 years

That's too much. Only the best of the best programs expect to be in the Final Four. But, I think we should expect to competing for the conference championship. In year 4 with some veteran players, the team should be playing good, quality basketball. There shouldn't be defensive breakdowns or a bunch of lazy turnovers. The culture should be in place to give good effort every time they play, but IMO we've really only seen that kind of effort vs Ole Miss and Arkansas.

Chris Beard went to Texas Tech and in year 2 had them in the Elite Eight. A year later? The national championship game. That was after spending one season at Arkansas Little Rock were he took a team with a losing record the year before, won the conference, and upset 5th seed Purdue in the NCAAT, going 30-5 in the process.
Texas Tech doesn’t have nearly the program tradition or resources LSU has. So don’t tell me it can’t be done. Just because YOUR expectations for LSU basketball are low doesn’t mean they SHOULD be.
He has a good roster that he put together. He’s also in the process of keeping them from reaching their potential because of a refusal to accept his defensive approach is severely lacking

I think people are just happy to not be stuck in the crapper that was Trent Johnson and Johnny Jones. But, Wade is better than that and has a chance to be great coach with a great program here. The issues that we've dealt with since he's been here need to be addressed before we can tak that next step.
