LSU is in a tier clearly below the power 5 (Oklahoma, Ohio State, Alabama, Clemson, and Notre Dame), and is only arguably in the same realm as Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, Penn State, USC, Oregon, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Miami, Florida State, Texas, Washington, Stanford, Auburn, Florida, Texas A&M, Georgia, etc; but clearly is a step above Indiana, South Carolina, NC State, Oregon St, Miss State, Maryland, Texas Tech, etc.

Remind me again, how many natty’s does Notre Dame have since 2000?

Bama
Clemson
Ohio State
LSU
Georgia
Oklahoma
Florida
Notre Dame

I'm negative and mean spirited bordering on loathsome, but I never worry about stuff like that. LSU is one of a select group of programs that can compete for a national championship. Frick everyone else.

Yeah, I'm personally horrified. I can't even look at myself in the mirror over stuff like this. When I see other people, especially those who follow other teams, I just know that they are laughing at me because of LSU.

We are second rate, let's be honest.

Considering LSU plays games in one of the biggest stadiums in the world, has the highest number of national championships after Bama since 2000, and has typically paid its defensive coordinators higher than just about every school recently, I would have to disagree. Now, they are 2nd rate compared to Bama, but not any other programs.

Bama football is incredibly well run with Saban and Byrne the AD. LSU football from top to bottom needs to be well managed. Well run football can bring home another national title. Everybody needs to be on the same page in the building.

OU has a great program and tradition, but they play in a weak-arse conference. See last year's playoff game.

Notre Dame has great tradition, but due to having no conference or now playing in the weak ACC, they make appearances in the playoffs and get steamrolled. Put either of those teams in the SEC and they would have a major fall-off.

Clemson has been great, no doubt. Ohio State is great too. They are top tier programs. But neither have had to play in the toughest division and conference over the last 10+ years. 11 of the last 15 national champions were SEC teams with 4 different SEC teams winning titles. And the three other teams besides LSU are LSU's annual opponents (and we all know Bama currently has the greatest football dynasty ever).

No. I don’t think other fan bases really care about other school’s hirings of coordinators.
