Kinda goofy to name some product that you want people to believe will always get them back home after an explorer who didn’t come back (Amelia Earhart brand luggage kindasorta too).
Fun Fact: There is a County in Mississippi named DeSoto, the County seat is named after his first name. So it’s Hernando DeSoto Mississippi.
Funner Fact: DeSoto died where present-day Ferriday is, best guess.
