I have only lived in Louisiana for one summer when I was a kid but I have spent considerable time in the state and it seems like it would be about as good a place to live as any. People are nice, food is great, culture is interesting, hunting and fishing is as good as it gets. I know nothing of the economy but I do know the state is considered poor but that is not uncommon in the south outside of metro areas. I may be wrong but I think I'd be happy living in Louisiana.

everyone wants to shite on other states, particularly the south...but i've been around the country a couple times and brother, EVERY state has their share of shitholes and trailer parks

You would. I complain about this state daily but mostly because it’s so frustrating. We have so much going and idiotic politicians who continue to hold us back. The things that I love about Louisiana are the reasons I’ll never leave. The things that I hate are what keep me bitching and hoping for change.

The best part about Louisiana is that even if you were Loon cricket ( on either end of the political Spectrum) we'd still invite you to dinner.
