Its rather simple.
One side is good with killing babies and one side isn't.
Jesus is not in favor of killing babies.

I hate to break it to you, but Jesus didn't have squat to say about abortion.
As a Jew of his era, he would have believed that a baby was not truly alive until after he had drawn breath. It was the ancient Greek belief that life began at conception, not Jewish or Christian.
Jewish priests of his era and beyond used abortifacients to prove that women had cheated.
The penalty in that era for beating a woman until she miscarried was a fine.
Israel allows abortions.
Read an effing Bible.
