That was just before my time. I was old enough to follow them but I was strictly football at that age. My Dad was obsessed with Don Redden and John Williams so that was my first team where I went to games and kept up with the players. I just missed out on Hakeem and them but you’re right Daddy Dale was a wiz at getting marquee opponents.

In those days there was little Sports TV and no smart phones nor internet.
Sports at LSU was an "Event". Basketball was nothing until Brown came to BR. He was a great promoter and put all he had into building the sport. He was the man for the time.
Wade is the man for these times.
