First year homeschool here. Has been a tremendous advantage in teaching reading. I don't see us ever going back. It's not that i don't know what they're teaching in public but that I do know. I will certainly move to a homeschool sanctuary state if it comes to that.

Yes. The issue we've run into is we've lost our community. Many of our homeschooled circle are just really big families and they really don't need us to be complete in socialization. We were able to get by with library and park days during the week for outings. The occasional "field trip".

That all stoped with this covid shite. You can't lock your kids up for a year or more and just see us. It's not good for the wife or kids. Mine are very social and I don't want them to lose that.

A lockdown where parks outside are fricking closed. It's unreal.
