Honest question. The construct of government was nice before they stopped serving the people and became basically an elite welfare class that I work to provide a luxurious life for.
I would be able to survive without them... not only that but without having to pay their excessive taxes I would be doing much better.

Two things:
(a) The court system, and (b) the military/national defense.
Otherwise, you don’t need government.

We need government for far less than currently constructed, if we follow the Constitution.

You need a majority agreement on social rules for humans living together (ie law & order. )
There needs to be an authority to make the laws and maintain order. That’s the government.
You can’t live without a reasonable government. This is not the Walking Dead.

Me personally, I need them for roads, bridges, securing right of way, utilities, and other general infrastructure, police, firemen, our local and state representatives...outside of that, frick em...they serve no purpose except greed, graft, and raising my taxes.
