To me, the most likely reason why weren't as good is because we lost several day one NFL starters and basically the entire unit otherwise.
We also had no offseason to break the new guys in and lost our starting quarterback in week 3 then relied on true freshmen the rest of the way.
We also weren't good on third down or in the red zone. Probably a combination of bad offensive line play, bad playcalls, and poor execution.

One of my biggest annoyances with this fanbase is there really isn’t an option that makes this fanbase happy. He was Orgeron’s top choice after a lengthy time of vetting, which many were complaining about. He came approved by everybody’s gold standard in Joe Brady. He’s young with a 10 years of experience. Finally, he had two stints with Nick Saban, whom everybody on this board is obsessed with.

There was a huge difference in play calling on 3rd downs, any long yardage to gain and red zone plays in 2018 and 2020. This is where E struggled and why I wanted him gone. He also struggled figuring out how to make adjustments in the game.
I love the hires and think they will be homerun hires.
