If you have money to burn and a strong stomach, it is more than worth it.
It takes time to get used to the motion sickness. If you push through it, usually you are good to go after a few days. But... I've been fine in some games and couldn't push through others. Having said that, I always hated spinning rides at the amusement parks.
Main problem is that AAA studios haven't embraced it. Resident Evil 7 was great but never released in VR for the PC. I haven't seen confirmation of RE8 in VR which would be a huge negative for VR growth.
Half Life Alex had rave reviews.
VR is made for Horror. I'm surprised they aren't churning out horror games non stop.
In summary, if you have money to burn, get it. If you are on a tight budget no...it will end up gathering dust in the long periods between top tier games with VR.
I'm old and the most unique and horrifying experience in my lifetime of gaming was playing RE7.
