Instead of this split nonsense, why don’t they just take all these football factories and throw them in a 6A power conference. They can afford the statewide travel, it eliminates the split and they can do their thing while competing in their own classification. You still redistrict every 2 years if a program falls off.

This has always been the only real solution. I'd take it a step further and say you could probably put every school into just 4 classifications and 5A could be the open division. You'd have a few schools stay in their classification awhile to rack up titles but their ego would get the best of them after awhile and they'd move up.
