I played (rode the bench) at a public that lost to privates in the playoffs 4 straight years. (frick you parkview ) and I hate the split and think to be the best you have to beat the best. We had the opportunity and didn’t take advantage of it. That’s not those schools fault.

The actual problem with the split is how it impacts small schools, nobody talks about it much because less people care about the small schools.

But you’ve got small school districts with just 1-2 teams, public small schools having to travel all over the state, teams with losing record or even NO wins making the playoffs, it’s silly.

Imagine being a basketball coach at a small school, 80% of your team including all your best players play football. The football team only wins 1 game, yet they make the post season and there season gets extend 2-3 weeks, you lose out on all that practice and game time with your kids while they “go to the playoffs” and get rocked by a school that actually deserved to be there.
