How is the pressure?

it can get pretty intense. especially if you are a hotshot. i had aspirations of getting a college degree in computer science, but when i lived in a dorm with computer geniuses, it cut me down to size and i decided to focus on the humanities. so it was like a 2 year liberal arts school for me and I'm not complaining.

the staff truly wants the students to succeed and it is a much more supportive environment than what i had while at LSU. similar to what i experienced in grad school at Tulane.

if your student is thriving at the local high school, then i would not recommend LSMSA. but if your student want something different from their high school experience, as i did (wanting to get out from under my parents roof, avoid the fights that i was getting into, etc.) then I would look into LSMSA. it will also broaden your students horizons from just your local area to a student body cross section of Louisiana as a whole. You will not get that anywhere else.
