Which one of his alters? You can probably piss off a half dozen at a time just going after him.

I see you completely glossed over my post and can t offer an honest rebuttal.

I didn't say anything in that post. O said all of that word for word.

can’t we just actually make well thought out arguments based on reality (for better or worse) for our positions instead of making emotional posts on how we feel in this minute.

No this is the rant. Whether you like it or not, you will pick a side and blindly defend it.

But why should we give you the time of day? As soon as LSU is successful again you will disappear because you can't be here starting drama. Where were you last year when everyone (myself included) was giving loads of the credit to O? You couldn't argue with anybody, so you were pretending to be from Alaska on the OT.

That’s what I’ve seen for years here. It’s like politics. No one can ever have the other side make a good point without bashing it bc it’s not from their camp. We all lose.

Drama queens are all over this place.

I loved what was built for 2019, but I hate whats happened in 2020. I'll give the HC equal credit for both.

I'm with you and I think so is most of the fan base. The question is how long do you give O to fix everything?

My honest answer is next year.

What about you?

The summer will be very telling.

If the team comes together and maybe we get great hires then people won't opt out and maybe we won't see transfers.

With the whole opt out shite we will literally know by the end of the summer if we are truly a team.

If we see people like stingley or other starters opt out it will be foreshadowing again.

LSU fans, especially on this board, tend to have "catastrophe syndrome" and overreact to everything that happens in LSU sports, always calling it out as the "worst of all time", "garbage", or "I've never seen such a bad ____". There's a certain segment that always wants the starter benched and always wants the coach fired, to the point that they will root against improvements or moderate success if that means that this season's "sworn enemy" gets the boot or the bench.

On the flip side, there are a lot of people here who love the team unconditionally to the point that no player or coach can ever do wrong in their eyes. They will come on here and defend every bad play, every disasterous decision, every misstep, and every off-the-field scandal. No matter what happens, they will be here praising it and defending against all criticism.

The reality is that the majority of posters are somewhere in the middle. They want the program to do well, but will call out players and coaches and administrators when things are being done poorly. They want success and will make guesses as to what can be done to improve results. When the team is doing well, most people will be praising them, making it appear that all of the negatigers have "disappeared". When the team is playing poorly or the news is full of negative press, those posters will be more critical, thus it will look like the board is "overrun" with "negatigers".

The reality is that last season was the greatest offense ever. This year was the worst defense ever. Last year was almost nothing but positive press. This year has just been wave after wave of negativity around the program. So, this place is overwhelmingly negative most days because the team has a losing record.

As for why Coach O specifically may or may not get heightened criticism is because despite winning a natty, al of the fanbase isn't sold on him. The way that he was hired left a bad' taste in a lot of fans' mouths who felt the administration made a poor effort in negotiating with coaching candidates and made an emotional decision in hiring O despite a mediocre interim coaching record and an abysmal head coaching record at Ole Miss.

Those fans saw modest improvements in some things from Miles tenure in 2017 and 2018. Time management got better. Special teams improved dramatically. Offense improved somewhat but still left much to be desired. Last year, the stars aligned last year, but after the wave of departures, people wondered how much of that success could really be attributed to O and how much came from assistants like Brady and Aranda who left for greener pastures. LSU took a huge step back this year with a truly BAD team, like 90's BAD.

Auburn went through a similar period after their Cam Newton Championship, and Coach Chizik was fired and his former offensive coordinator, Gus, hired to replace him.

Many who weren't sold on O to begin with wanted to see if O could maintain a championship caliber program after winning one. This year, he most certainly did not. That leads many to wonder if 2019 was more a product of Orgeron or his surrounding cast. They're concerned that Coach O is just another Chizik who, without a dominant heisman QB like Joe Burrow or Cam Newton, doesn't have the ability to maintain a program at an elite level.

Finally, there's a lot of people who loved Les because of his personality. They hate how the university forced Les out and dislike O as the man who replaced Les. They knew we could consistently expect 9 or 10 wins out of a Miles teams almost without fail. His teams wouldn't always win, but they almost never would get blown out. They could rely on him to produce consistent winning teams that would be consistently good, and occasionally border on great. These folks aren't sold O can deliver as consistently high a floor, as this season showed.

Exactly!!
Fans are fans. They puff out their chests and are happy when things are good and they get pissed, discouraged and they bitch when things aren’t going well. The eyes don’t lie. They know shite when they smell it.
Did anyone talk of “negatigers” in 1988 when the slide began under Archer or in 98 and ‘99? The term didn’t exist.
During the Miles years when folks were generally pleased with the records but were frustrated by years of a shitty offensive scheme, someone began using the term (I think it was LSU Beatles) and others latched onto it like it was the last tit. The complaints about Miles stubborn refusal to change were well warranted.
Negatiger is term used by holier than thou fans.

Thank you. The only people that keep bringing this shite up are the ones who can’t look at the current state of affairs objectively. One game (UF) does not a season make, or break. There are still glaring issues with this program that must be addressed.

I consider myself a neutral tiger.

I admit that Coach O isn't a great coach, but I also don't think he should be fired effective immediately.
