Pelini is still getting fired. I still think Ensminger retires after the season. There will be other coaching changes because there are always coaching changes.

There was no luck involved. That's bullshite. Turnovers matter. Effort matters. Winning without the ability to substitute is effort and desire. Making a 57 yard FG isn't luck. Neither is missing from 51.

Both are legit reasons why LSU struggled this year. Not the only reasons, but legit ones.

We have seen how stubborn O is

He's shown he can move on when its not working. He dumped Canada after a year. He's moved on from position coaches who weren't good at coaching.

Based on your post, youre not using facts soo....

Buyouts come from boosters. We can raise the money for Bo.

Why do you think we would go through the pain of a season with no starters returning and the switch to the 4/3 to fire a guy and eat another $5 million..

Yep we gave up 600 yards to the best Pass offense in the country With two of our top 3 DBs out. MLB out.

I remind you that Aranda got lit up 5 times last year. Including 5. 75 yard drives by Florida. Maybe 6.

Why are memories so short and expectations so far out of alignment with reality.

This entire post is spot on. You can tell the adults on here from the Brondo drinking mouthbreathers. Orgeron knew this was going to be a lost year. He told recruits, and their families, that we would struggle. We are fielding a JV team with a few varsity guys sprinkled in. Next year will tell the tale on whether this program is building or not.

I mean, whatever lies you need to tell yourself to feel better about that State and Mizzou losses at the beginning of the year. The coaching staff in no way was thinking what you claim.

I was critical of Aranda too, but he had the defense playing its best ball RIGHT NOW, when it mattered. We shut OU down for an entire game and Clemson for the 2nd half. Do you think Bo could do that?

Look at the games where the defense has played well. They played really hard and were undermanned vs UF, but the good games were really Vandy, Arkansas and A&M. All of them are either more conservative or just weren’t that good. Every spread attack with any creativity that we faced fricking killed us.

Just look at the yardage given up and the big plays. It’s too bad to give a pass on and it is NOT the same thing as last year. Pelini gets nuked by Clemson and OU, even if he had last year’s players playing for him. He’s not cut out for modern offensive football.

I think there will be some "smaller" changes but Pelini won't be one of them, and E might not either.

There are too many valid reasons to keep Pelini to justify the cost (it was a transition year, he doesn't have the right personnel, no spring practice to install defense, defense improved over the course of the year, we had fourth string corners in against a very good Florida passing game, etc). I'm not saying that Pelini shouldn't be fired, I'm just saying it won't happen.

Regarding E, the problems I had with the offense this year were that a) we looked like we were trying to call the same offense we did in 2019, it didn't work without Burrow (at least after MB was out) and we didn't/couldn't adapt, and b) the red zone play calling...um...sucked. I don't know how we "fix" those issues with E & Linehan if we didn't already fix them during the season.

For better or for worse, we'll have to see how 2021 goes to see if Pelini (or O) will be staying or leaving. I'm optimistic we'll see a vastly improved team next year.

As an institution I suppose but as far as my uncle who donates plenty to the TAF he could buy BP out and not knock a dent in his wallet. Not a subtle brag just stating a fact.

I think most assume that E will retire and Pelini will be fired. I'm not sure E will retire, and I certainly don't see him being terminated if he doesn't.

So however many coaches go because a new DC is hired is my expectation.

Disagree on the E point. Dont think we ever looked like we were trying to call plays like 2019. We are not effectively using our backs in space. We don't run screens and barely run slants. On some drives we just abandon having a balanced attack. Linehan sucks. E is decent but its obvious joe brady influence was the key factor. We need that approach back. And if we stick with MJ his mobility really is key and can do wonders. Having a QB that can move always makes the o line look good

Did the people in charge learn nothing from the Les Miles/Texas A&M fiasco?

If no changes are made it will be because Woodward gives O the finger and refuses to bail him out again.

A significant one here is Todd Graves. He is (rightfully) focused on taking care of his employees during the pandemic. And given with his revenues down by about 30 percent, I doubt he’s interested in ponying up a few million for a coaching buyout.

The people that still think Coach O is gone after this year is hilarious to me. Unless they try to pin the sexual harassment on him to fire him, he will be the head coach next year.

Coach E is only leaving if he retires. Other than retirement, he will be the offensive coordinator next year.

I think Pelini is gone. His defense did improve as the year went on, but the fact that he couldn't make adjustments in the Miss St. game or other early games, which cost us wins this year, leads me to believe he will be gone. I'd say 60/40% gone.
