I definitely can see Neyland Stadium being #2. I went last time LSU played there. The hardest part as far as being a fan was friggin Rocky Top. I got so sick of hearing that damn song it was starting to drive me crazy. Every car that passed by in the parking line had it blaring. It was on all the radio stations, coming out of every speaker in the entire town, over, and over, and over again. And the ORANGE. Man I'm glad we won!

Perhaps this stadium should have been #1:

Seriously though, I don't see Tennessee's as #2. That place doesn't get nearly as loud as LSU, Auburn, or Florida. More bodies does not equal more noise.

Honestly I don't have much to compare it with, the only away games I've been to were at Georgia, UT, Alabama and the Georgia Dome. Oh yeah, and Tulane I found the UT experience to be the most intimidating as a fan, by far, when compared to Bama and Georgia. There was the Rocky Top, the orange, and the seats in the visiting section were not big enough for everyone to sit down that was for damn sure. And they were loud. Real loud. Until JaMarcus shut them up with a TD with less than 15 seconds to go.

Georgia fans were the nicest, they gave us beer. But they don't know how to run a concession stand for dick. I got in line to get a coke to mix my whiskey with when half time started, and by the time half time ended I still didn't have a drink. I ended up watching LSU get blown out while drinking warm whiskey in the hot sun.

You should try to hit Auburn and Florida some day if you can. Trust me, those places get much more raucous, especially if the home team is on a roll. One of the most satisfying games I have ever attended was in 2002 when we won at Florida, 36-7. Midway thorough the 3rd quarter, the Gator fans were practically stampeding out of the stadium. It was wonderful.

Greatest stadium in the world for a sports fan to witness. We really should remember to thank God more for how great Tiger Stadium is.

I was being kind to the relative new-comer. I think he came in peace and meant well.

My favorite color is "quiet Orange" I remember seeing it in Knoxville when we won in '06, and it is such a lovely shade of orange.

I have been to 7 of these 10 places, and I roughly agree. I need to get to Lane, Ohio and Autzen stadiums (VT, OSU, Oreg). I love Penn State and hate A7M, but A&M is more intimidating than Happy Valley. Happy Valley is very impressive though.

I have been to 6 (not Michigan, Penn State, Ohio State or Oregon), and I would rate Ben Hill Griffin higher than Neyland. Also, although our team played like crap there, I really didn't see what the big deal was about the crowd at Lane Stadium (VT). Ditto for Kyle Field (A&M). Also, if I were ranking them, I think I would find a way to put Jordan-Hare (Auburn) in the top ten.
