No doubt. It's a consequence-free environment where no one they know will critique their writing. Raw emotional reactions will be taken as compliments. And then there are the clever people who think they're conducting social experiments.

Many of the text bases subs suffer from that. I think some of the stories are real but maybe exaggerated. A lot of them read like fan fiction. They know what gets the praise and upvotes. If you go to “today I fricked up”, all the stories will be along the lines of “Today I accidentally fricked up by cumming on my GF’s face. She was mad. The end.” 7K upvotes and 10 awards.
