Unfortunately, I had a good family friend who was 55 pass last year with the same situation, she had been at an exercise class of all things and tripped, broke her knee, had surgery, developed a blood clot, and you know the rest. I can recall the unmitigated shock when I got the call about what had happened...it's just not something you anticipate or can wrap your mind around happening.
I hope God puts his hand of comfort around all of you in this time of need! Please know you are in our collective thoughts!

Did the hospital you had the surgery at not have a pharmacy in it? Usually you leave the hospital with your prescriptions.
