So we may get blown out. We will recover. A&M, Georgia, Oklahoma did

Why are our fans so sensitive with such an inferiority complex?

We lost 21-0 to Bama in 2012 and our fans had PTSD for nearly a decade.

We beat Clemson by nearly as much and ... nothing.

We blew out Texas A&M, Georgia, Oklahoma and others, with seemingly no lasting affect on them.

We will be fine and make a full recovery, regardless.

They believe LSU is a magical fairytale place that’s immune to the laws of science and reason.

Not sure why you claim we recovered from 21-0

We didn’t

That game broke LSU for more than half a decade and heralded the sad decline of miles. The entire program became a stale shell after that

A once in a lifetime QB talent was only thing that broke the spell that 21-0 cast on LSU

They don't win championships. They are used to getting blown out against the big boys.

Fans live on emotion, don't expect any nuance from them.

Rational person:
"So LSU lost like 38 players, and had no practice to break in an extremely inexperienced and depleted team? This season is widely viewed as a farce that players with good pro prospects don't care about? Yeah, I don't expect much in terms of record, nor do I care."

Balding, middle-aged manchild who watches the games at BWW: "Wear the purple and gold with pride or GTFO!! We should never lose to these teams!!! Stop making excuses!! These players are soft and entitled!! I want a roster of scrappy two stars! Fire O! "

Ok. But why? We split with them that year and we made the title game. Why did that lead to a decline? It was a fantastic year by all measurable indicators.

Other programs suffer way worse with no effect.

Our fans act like getting killed by Alabama tomorrow will be some death knell.

I don’t want to lose and I’m sure I’ll be pissed during the game. But I don’t expect a lasting negative effect, just as our beat downs last year had none on those programs.

No one wants to hear it, but 2011 was pretty fluky: we had like a +20 turnover margin, the SEC was about as weak as it's been in recent memory, we should have lost the first game in Tuscaloosa, we had no first downs in the entire first half against Georgia until Mathieu's return TD flipped the momentum, etc.

Miles' Bo Schembechler philosophy was not going to win in the modern era

FIFW

That was one of the best special teams and defenses I’ve ever seen. Mathieu would take over games alone on his return skills and playmaking ability. 2011 was one of my favorite years.

In a perfect TD rant world, the opinions and criticisms would all be sensible and delivered with a clue of actually understanding why things are the way they are.

Facts: There has never been a major college football team in the likes of brand and tradition that's lost more than LSU, along with 2 good to great assistant coaches and numerous offensive analysts. No spring ball, multiple players and position groups having to quarantine during preseason while trying to learn a new defensive system.

Perception: None of our coaches know shite, they're terrible and we should wipe the slate clean. Coach O is smashing blondes now and is not into this program like he was.

To date considering who we've played and when we've played them, our W-L record is just about on par when you factor in the realistic makeup of this team but putting an * on Miss St. bc I think right now we win that easily. Many will not agree with this but JMO.
