It wasn't to pay for a pool, it was to help the cost.

You don't go from a ridiculous $11,000 supposed bonus to jelly of the month club.

This has been discussed before...max his bonus would be $5,000.

Clark wasn't an executive but a cog in the wheel of a corporation...the boss didn't even know who he was.

He's not making $140,000 in the 80's. That would be $300,000 now.

To completely pay for a pool by a bonus, Clark would've been making $600,000 a year. That would be the equivalent of a millionaire today.

If he was so rich to expect an $11,000 bonus, why does he need it for a pool. He drives a Truckster dammit.

Clark at best made $80,000 to $120,000 in the 80's. Which would amount to maybe a $5,000 bonus.

Love the thread. You guys have put more thought into this than any writer, producer, director or actor every did.

He got a Ford Taurus wagon by the time of this movie (Truckster didn't make it back from L.A.)
