Look at your employer, Kirk. ESPN is one of the main culprits, pushing the playoff or bust narrative and corporate culture on college football.

ESPN is THE culprit as far as I'm concerned. No other organization has done more for the corporatization of college football than them. ABC and CBS are also big offenders. But ESPN has been the main driving force behind the sport for the last 25 years or so.

This is so stupid.

This is has airways been the focus as long as I’ve been watching CFB, and especially since the bcs was implemented to try & quantify the 2 best teams.

This isn’t an espn narrative.

This is exactly what CFB is & has been for a while. 1 loss can be heartbreaking when only 2 teams get in. It has always been boom or bust like that. Don’t pretend like espn created it. This is what teams create. That is what they play for, and it has always been that dire.

What you are seeing now is the business side of it, where kids are finally realizing their worth. It’s playoffs or money now. Because it is rather worthless to risk your future to play in a weed eater bowl in Lubbock Texas on a Thursday night
