when you have over 1 billion people, that's a much larger talent pool to pull from than our mere 300 million

I dont know why they are doing so well, but it is very annoying to a Chinese athlete in medal contention in almost every event.

Then why has the USA won the medal count for how many Olympics in a row??
Not to mention, these children are often removed from their family home around 3-5 years old to engaged in an intensive training regiment. They only see their families once or twice a year. Elite athletes here at least have some semblance of a normal life.

They have had their big events already, they are done. The facat is we excel the most overall, and we should be kicking their arse by the time it comes to a close. Track, basketball, Phelps, etc.
