Thats sad its come to this. Only people that can make money off the kids can interview them now?
NCAA botched it again.

I don't know anyone that isn't making some $$ of the recruits. Even DD makes $$ off his website. Of course, he works pretty hard at it so I'm not suggesting that he shouldn't earn some money for his work.

It's a weird biz. The kids get calls at all hours of the day but the pub helps them get free college and most like the attention so they get something out of it too. But you're right, the national websites can do things that the NCAA won't let the smaller fan-specific websites do.

That's my problem with the rule. The only people bugging top recruits are the reporters from radio, print, tv and internet who are making a lot of dollars off these kids. These kids need someone to help them manage their time with the reporters. These kids get taken advantage of because they don't know how to say "no" or "let me schedule you at a time best for me and my dad and/or mom." Also these reporters should let the kid and dad and/or mom read the article first before print. This way the family can get prepaired for slanted reporting. This IMHO is what needs to be fixed not some kid getting on the internet and talking to fans of a team he or she wants to attend. The fans did not bug them until they finally gave an interview. I'm sorry, I've tried to keep the rantard in me under control, but it's hard to keep it in all the time.
