Do any of you cook steaks entirely with these pellet grills...can you crank them hot enough to sear or do you need attachments/have to go cast iron or other route to sear?

I’m looking at getting one in the near future and I’ve been talking to my BiL about it and he has a traeger and said it’s his only complaint. He has to take it off and sear it on something else.

Pit boss can he said.

The Yoder has a panel you can remove to cook directly over the fire, get's in the 600 degree range.

Get some grill grates and you can sear anything without flare ups. I have a set for my Traeger and GMG pellet smokers plus a set for my Weber Silver.
