Possibly

But it’s all or none

You don’t do it at the end of next year after the investigation w/o paying for it in more ways than just financially

Yea get rid of him a year after he won the NC and lost 75% of his starters.
2019 will be proven to be an outlier, due to Burrow and Brady. Both are gone, we have poor coordinators, and now we revert to the mean.

You do realize even bad coaches can catch fire for a short time. Gene Chizik did it one year with Cam and Gus. And he got canned two years later.

I hope he doesn't. He's garbage. Even after he won the national championship last year with the best season in college football history, name me a program that would hire Orgeron if they had a head coach opening.

He’ll get one more year, as he’s earned that benefit of the doubt. If it’s a repeat of this season, then he’s gone for sure.

He gets 1 more year if the Independent Title IX audit shows he was not involved in what is allegedly systematic sexual assault and rape coverup of LSU female students/student athletes. If he was involved in that, he is going to be fired for cause.

salaries are supposed to be set by supply and demand. If numerous teams were making a run at O, then our AD has to decide to raise his salary. But if O is at no risk of being poached, we shouldn’t raise him one penny. He’s already being paid millions, we don’t need to give him more if no one else wants him.

Which they don’t.

Woodward could get caught up in these Title IX issues. Heck this thing could reach the Governor's mansion.

How high does the cover-up go? We know that Verge had at least some involvement with the Drake Davis multiple incidents.

Who knew what and when are always the questions and they will be answered during the investigation. It won't take much for these to become "for cause" reasons for termination and LSU will have no options. They will be forced to fire all those involved in the coverup.

Obvious that right now they are trying to make a couple of tennis coaches the scape goats, but the Feds, especially under a Biden administration, will not play when it comes to Title IX violations.

My guess is that Woodward and all above him were smart enough to create some level of plausible deniability, but doubt O was smart enough to do it.

JB being a democrat will almost certainly give him cover.

I think the only one really covered up was guice and that is even arguable. The others were all suspended or fake charges

I guess the investigation will reveal the truth but it’s hard to not wonder with 9 allegations. They can’t all be fake.

Urban Fricking Meyer was forced out for accusations involving ONE assistant coach and the coaches estranged wife, if the accusations at LSU involving multiple football players and female students were covered up are proven true ,losing football games will be the least of LSU’s worries.

I am hearing from some reliable sources that Woodward isn’t happy and he isn’t on speaking terms with O. If the Title IX investigation gives them a causation they may exercise. Woodward is very unhappy with the extracurricular activities.

If this is the case, I doubt Woody will support buying out Pelini or Linehan and O is on his own to fix the staff next year. This will be the tell on how short O's leash is.

It had been brought up. This is has more legs than people know. I still believe O will survive but if this level continues then LSU had an out with Title IX.

Whose rape did Hugh cover up? (Not saying O did, but if O gets fired for title 9, then that has nothing to do with Freeze) He had an escort’s number on his phone. And if we’re gonna talk about extra marital affairs being something to exclude employment, then there wouldn’t be one coach left in the profession.

Nothing came out of that NCAA investigation. You guys act like Freeze is James Franklin. He’s at Liberty rehabbing his image, which he’s paid his dues.

Freeze would wreck shop at LSU.
