For a good hot dog chili I found a jar of chilidog mix at Alberson's which is in the Louisiana section because someone around here makes it. You mix with like two or three pounds of ground meat and simmer and it'll serve like 30 or so hot dogs. I had a chilidog party one afternoon just because I'm a sucker for buying stuff like that and invited all the neighbors. We all loved it. Get good Nathan's or Hebrew Nationals and good fresh buns though.

Hot dog party's are pretty cool.

The key. Avoid oscar meyer/bryan/ballpark like the plague.

I've always preferred skillet/griddle cooked dogs to grilled. If I'm firing up the grill, I'm cooking something better than hotdogs (except for the kids).
