Yes, asking a question about a highly infectious disease that affects the lungs and is transmitted through the air is a “red herring”.

Not for nothing, but kids while learning about red herrings is very important be sure to also avoid partaking in the "the fallacy fallacy," as it can lead to looking ridiculous.
