Are you familiar with the pre-2006 Saints franchise?

We had the lead in most of those with less than a minute. Our defensive line makes the big play this season if put in the same situation IMO.

You posted a decade in which we made the playoffs 6 times

Before that decade, the Saints had a grand total of
7 playoff appearances in 43 years.

So you’re miserable and retarded.

Shouldn’t he have been to the hospital?

Going back to my original point of an ordained defeat in the first round of the playoffs.

And I am taking meds for my retardation. So your making fun of me does not help my overall psyche.

None of those losses should go on Brees. All three had their own wtf moment not caused by Brees.

A collapsed lung? He didn't seem to have any trouble breathing on the sidelines. What is this shite?

Tony Romo had a similar injury a few years ago. He had cracked ribs and a punctured lung, finished the game and I don’t believe missed a single game afterwards. I’m not saying Drew won’t miss games he probably will but the people who are saying this is season ending are gloom and doom retards.

It’s a pain management injury not one that will really limit his performance if he’s chooses to play through the pain.

Need more info on this “collapsed lung.” Is it a contusion/lung bruise or a pneumothorax? A pneumothorax may require a chest tube or surgical intervention unless it is tiny. I’m guessing it’s just a contusion.

Rib fractures are extremely painful but can be managed with pain meds, anti-inflammatories, and occasionally nerve blocks. I think the actual lung injury is of more concern here.

Does the fact that he remained in pads and helmet on the sideline signal it’s a contusion or a small puncture versus a bigger hole?

Seems like the severity of the lung will really determine how long he’s out?

I would imagine either a tiny pneumothorax (less than 15%) or lung contusion is what he suffered. Anything more dire (blood in the lung cavity, collapsed lung greater than 25%) would require pretty immediate attention and intervention.

Yeah, I don’t know about this collapsed lung part of the reports. I had a partially collapsed lung from a fall off a ladder and I could barely catch my breath right after and was in pain for weeks. I can’t even fathom how someone going through that could complete a drive and then play the rest of the half.
