If my first post sounded like I’m accusing you when I meant it more generally, that’s my fault.

quote:

Brennan faced "the same problems

He was sacked twice against Missouri and pressured 16 times. That is about 1/3 of every drop back he has pressured and we ran for 2.5 yards per carry. He was 29/48 (60%) 430 yds 4 TD’s and no turnovers. Sounds like a pretty similar day for the oline tbh.

quote:

open receivers early in the game, he was hitting them

Someone else addressed a couple bad throws. He missed open guys especially after the INT. So many people had assured me he had incredible “poise” and “confidence”. I just wanted everyone to have reasonable expectations.

quote:

Meat heads took that and ran with this narrative: "You guys think he's the messiah after one game. You turned on Brennan as soon as he got hurt. Wah, wah, wah"... It was typical tigerdroppings strawman, mischaracterization tactics to try to win a point

Really? You are trying to suggest that we were like children crying about Brennan being benched? I would argue his performance yesterday speaks volumes to our argument.

quote:

If Brennan could improve from his first taste of adversity, why can't Finley? Why do we have to bury Finley? Myles has played well, but hasn't faced anything like yesterday. It's incredibly ignorant to try to compare the two QB's based on that.

I’m not trying to rag on Finley, more so the people screaming his name like they had just seen Jesus. If we all agree Brennan is the guy then in no way is it ignorant to compare Brennan and Finley.
