You have to understand the Rant has hated Brennan from the start. They bashed him for his frame predicting he’d never be an SEC QB, then even though we had Burrow they claimed since it took 3 years for him to get the job it meant he wasn’t any good then they blamed him for the losses where our defense gave up record numbers to bad teams then Finley had a solid game and they thought that finally all their predictions about Brennan were justified despite Finley putting up half the numbers Brennan did in his last start. It has nothing to do with performance, for an LSU QB to average 377ypg and almost 4TDs per game to start a career is unprecedented. This is about the Rants continued history of caring more about being right in their ignorant player evals than LSUs success.

The statue quarterback is a thing of the past. You have to have an all pro line like the saints in order for a pocket passer to succeed. There has to be some mobility for today’s qbs
