say what? People can blame whomever they want but that fact is, Nick Saban is the greatest coach this sport has ever seen and the greatest recruiter of Louisiana talent this sport has ever seen. If he really wants a player, he’s more than likely going to get him. Doesn’t mean you can’t beat him on the field, obviously, but until he retires, he very very rarely will lose in recruiting.

If O loses the three top recruits in the state to in-conference rivals after winning a national championship I’m not sure what the reaction should be, but it sure as hell shouldn’t be to keep things the same.

Firings. This type of shite sets us back a whole cycle on when we can get back to a natty. You must pay with your job if you frick up what should be lay up in state elite recruiting targets

Almost any defensive player recruit has a chance to play immediately and that is the most important factor for the recruits.

Bill Busch is and excellent coach at his position and if he weren’t O would have told him to take the Baylor offer . Gents we have to put some of the success and or failure on the players .. players have to be committed to getting better as a people, students and as a player. Parents play a part in where kids go to school ,but it’s ultimately comes to how the kid feels about the school and the community where they’ll be spending the next three of their lives .

Historically, I would agree,
But it’s evident that recruiting is starting to favor only a few programs getting the top of the country’s talent.
Right now it’s Clemson, Bama, UGA, OSU, OU and LSU. Whiffing on three in-state five stars to a direct conference competitor could easily knock LSU off of that pedestal.
UGA is lucky that the East is weak as shite, but LSU needs to be competitive year in and year out in recruiting to be competitive with Bama and that starts with keeping the state’s talent at home, imo.
