Go back and actually watch the Mizzou game. If the WRs, TEs and Emery catch balls that hit them dead in the fricking hands, we convert at least 4 of those 10. EVERYONE has to execute. Good or bad, it isn’t all on the QB. Any fan who things it is doesn’t know shite about football.

Dang dude, we are just bullshitting about football here.

Finley had less than 30 yards rushing. He does provide more of an RPO threat, but not one the defense really has to fear.

What lol? Moving the chains and scoring TDs is pretty big bruh.

Finley is a better option for QB sneaks and short yardage.

So I guess you’re saying he adds another dimension to our offense that otherwise wouldn’t be there?

What? Does he hand it off better? I saw him wait too long on one and cause a fumble.

I also saw him jerk the ball and run over multiple LBs and amass 30 yrds rushing with 1TD.

He got blitzed on every money down. What game did you watch? Lol

The next opponent will care.
Your not going to win forever with a simple game plan.
Fact.

You can't rely on pic sixes, ST TD's and missed field goals to win consistently.

You seem very emotional.

TJ played great...but we also tried to establish a run game to help him out. That made his job ALOT easier. We have yet to try to establish a run game with Myles at QB...for whatever reason I’m not sure.

Good thing we didn’t rely on those to win last night then? Not sure where your hatred for Finley comes from (I know exactly where), but where have I said anything remotely bordering on emotional lol?

No reason to change your mind. Fortunately you are not a decision maker. The coaches know who the best QB is, and they will play him when he is healthy enough.

Here’s A couple statements that stand: Finley got a pick 6 and special teams TD and scored 52 in his first start ever. A win

Myles got a pick 6 and 2 other turnovers in the opponent’s territory and only managed 34 in his first start after 3 years in the program. A loss.

Stop blaming the team for why Finley played well and just give the kid some credit.

If we keep playing TJ and he can’t throw the ball downfield then teams are just going to play up on us.

If u are the coach, who would u start against Bama. Nothing against Myles but I would go for TJ based on what I’ve seen. It’s not good to have a qb controversy especially the way Myles had played, but TJ gives us that X factor

Too be honest I really don’t think it matters who we start against Bama.

I play Myles if he’s healthy. If he can’t score, I don’t blame it on the o-line it anyone but Myles, and I feel confident putting in Finley to see how he’ll do. Neither of them are beating Bama this year though—our defense is too awful.

Here's some more that stand.

Finley got 243 rushing yards. Brennan got 80.

LSU gave up 44 points vs State, 24 to South Carolina.

Brennan is 3-0 if the defense plays as well as they did last night, all year.

True or false?

Its indisputable that the rest of the team played the best they have all season last night.

The line dominated the LOS the majority of the game on both sides of the ball. Special teams played great, the defense even stepped up and got some stops and scored points.

That said, I dont think Finley could've performed any better. He did everything they asked him too.

Being a nice goal line and short yardage threat doesn’t make you a starting QB. If so, Joey Gatewood would still be at Auburn right now.

Maybe Finley will be the full time starter in time. Forgive me if I’m not ready to crown him after one game with a limited offensive gameplan against a mediocre opponent. I haven’t seen him hit a deep pass yet, which has been the biggest staple of our offense for the last two seasons. I know our starting QB can do that.

That said, even if he’s not the starter, the staff would be wise to use Finley under center in goal line and short yardage going forward. All three of our QBs have limitations or big unknowns. It makes sense to use Finley’s size and strength, which Brennan doesn’t posses, in these situations no matter what.
