If my kids were college age today, I'd push for them to take their prerequisites for free locally before heading to college to figure out what they want to study.
Almost all flunked out
It’s a good idea in theory, but from my ancedotal experience those kids just got burned out being an environment where most people didn’t give a shite

I'd be interested in data on this, but it'd be tough to distinguish between the kids who were college bound prior to cc enrollment vs the kids who had no other option.
