I dk whether to believe this or not, but I kinda feel like our fanbase as a whole is underrating the importance of landing 4 stud WR in this year's class.

Considering how thin our current freshman and sophomore classes are when it comes to surefire WR talent, we absolutely 100% need the 2021 class to be stacked at that position. Now, none of this is to say that Koy moore and Alex Adams and Trey Palmer won't turn out to be good--i personally think moore will be a stud slot guy eventually--but they're all far from guarantees. We need to load up so that the math is in our favor once more.

So especially considering the fact that WR is the spot where we've heard the most smoke about possible decommitments (deion smith and jojo in particular*), it's imperative that we fill that 4th spot with BTJ or someone else who's legit.

*Not at all saying that either of these guys will decommit--just saying that I've seen rumblings about it here and there

Boutte was the #2 WR in the country in last year's class. LSU also has Gilbert who is a RARE TE/WR talent. Currently, LSU has 3 of the top 15 WR's committed. The only other team who can say that is Bama.

Yes, LSU would absolutely love to sign Thomas. But I don't think missing out of just him creates some DIRE problem
