Most men left to their own devices would buy an old school reliable top loader for a fraction of the cost of the front loaders and not worry about it for the next 10 years.

But most men I don’t know aren’t left to their own devices when it comes to buying a washing machine by their wives who think top loaders are the equivalent of a wood grain station wagon.

I have LG front loaders which have been fine for 7 years of ownership but are about to need replacing.

I’ve heard Samsung looks great but doesn’t hold up and that the American made brands are typically the way to go from a reliability standpoint.
