a preferred walkon is guaranteed a spot on the team. they report with the rest of the team when fall camp opens.
a walk on has to tryout for a spot on the team. they cant do this until school starts.

Okay... missed that previously. So, on the team, I understand that walk-ons have to pay extra to receive the upgraded athletic meals. s there anything else different that a walk-on doesn't receive that a scholarship athlete would get?
