You sure you want a .338? They are more expensive to shoot than most options that will realistically do the same thing. .300prc with 250 grain ATIP (higher BC than pretty much any .338 bullet) will do everything you need for less. For 2K, that ruger precision will do everything you need. If you want to spend more, call blaze and have a chat. Go full custom with a custom action and chassis. Or if you want to go expensive production, go Accuracy International, Cadex, Barrett, or even Sako TRG. You could also go with a Blaser if you want a straight pull.

I'd draw the line somewhere around the .338 win mag for hunting. Good ammo availability and a great western big game caliber.

Hunting throws all this way off and really erases any benefit the big .338 gives you.
