It really is a shame that people like you are out there putting everyone at risk just cause you think you are cool for refusing to do the bare minimum that could help slow the spread of the virus. No, it’s not perfect unless you have an N95, but masks plus social distancing slow it down A LOT. But you are free to do what you want because this is America, it’s just a shame people think like you.

Let me know when this pandemic affects more than 0.04% of the population.

We just need to flatten he curve. That's all. Promise. This will all be over in a few weeks.

Masks prevent people from congregating/socializing because most people feel like idiots wearing them plus a lot of people stay at home more because they feel stupid wearing them in public. Pay attention next time you are in a store - less chatting with strangers, less people congregating, etc. etc. Unless it is an N95 that is properly fitted, place on/removed with proper donning techniques, it is not doing anything from any perspective other than being a nuisance and preventing people from socializing/congregating as much as they used to. Observe how you and your family handle your masks. You don't do it right and you are increasing your chance of infection if indeed you have the virus on your hands (which is highly unlikely).

Let me update you.

N95 does nothing. N99 are the virus protecting masks. Even those must be combined with proper procedures and additional ppe to work.

Refusing to wear a mask if you are well does not spread the virus.

Asymptomatic people are not spreaders of the virus.
