His LinkedIn page says he’s a “QA Sofware Engineer” so he’s a tester, not a programmer. As a tester, he is not making anywhere close to the high salaries of programmers. Not surprisingly, it also says he only has a community college degree.

Wasn't this happening in 2016? Remember when that whole Alton Sterling thing took place? Most of those protestors were bussed into Baton Rouge. most of the people they arrested wasn't from the area and I remember hearing that those people who were being bussed in were being paid.
Remember that "famous" picture of the woman from New York, who went into the street, where she knew she wasn't supposed to go so she got arrested (which she knew would happen if she did go into the road) and then there was a picture of her being arrested and it made for a great photo op..
I remember reading she was a nurse from New York. I seriously doubt a woman, who is a nurse in NYC, would come all the way down to Baton Rouge, La for a weekend of protest, if there wasn't any type of incentive.
There is no doubt in my mind that some of these protestors are going into some of these cities just to create chaos and being given some type of payment to do so.

I was standing next to some cops that had arrested protesters. A woman on the sideline from what she said was the lawyers guild took all of the names and gave them a phone number to call in the morning to get bonded out or released.
Cops even told them don’t know why y’all are mad you will be out in the morning.

Washington, DC is not a state, the court system is run by the federal government and it is a US attorney appointed by Trump who is making the decisions on whether or not to prosecute. I guess y’all must think 45 has a soft spot for BLM and Antifa. This has been in the news a good bit with the riots. MPD make arrests and the US Attorney drops charges.
