This is blatantly not true. Lotta people around here hardly trying to hide the fact that they don’t give a shite about the players at all outside of what they do on the field, and the players are taking notice. Tyler Shelvin opts out because of concerns with Covid. Fans immediately proceed to calling him selfish and stupid. Yeah. That’s helpful.

Umm, if they weren't playing football at a high level they would be young adults working their first jobs or college students.. why else would I care about them over any other young adult? This argument is a weak attempt to create more of an us vs them mentality.
And plenty of people support and follow them after school. Former players are recognized and praise years after they are done playing. Just because I support their play on the field doesn't mean I have to blindly support their opinions, agendas, and actions off the field.
