Be prepared for this to become a trend for a select number of players each year. Stingley being one of them.

The nfl would rather the player not play. Less wear & tear on the body.

A player like Stingley only gets surpassed if he gets injured. Which is a lot less likely if he’s not playing

I don't necessarily agree with this. NFL evaluators want data and game tape, especially recent game tape, because data reduces the uncertainty associated with their limited draft selections.
